Franklin-Simpson Educational Excellence Foundation helps buy SousaphonePosted by admin in UncategorizedThe FSEEF board of directors was very busy at its April meeting. Congratulations to the following…Simpson Elementary $6,500 for iPads, FSHS Band $4,700 for new sousaphone, Lincoln Elementary $250 for summer art camp, FSHS agriculture department $400 for insect identification set, FSMS $400 for document camera, FSHS chorus program $1,000 for musical expenses.
The F-S Band continues to grow, which brought forth the need for a new instrument. These are very expensive. Now with the help of the FSEEF, we will be able to provide an instrument to another student!
BE SURE AND SUPPORT THE FS WILDCAT BAND BY DINING AT THE FRANKLIN PIZZA HUT ON TUESDAY, APRIL 17TH (ALL DAY-OPEN TO CLOSE)!!! MUST HAVE SLIP TO TURN IN FOR BAND TO GET PROFITS (BOOSTERS/MEMBERS WILL BE DISTRIBUTING THESE ON MONDAY & TUESDAY)
The next Band Booster Meeting is scheduled for April 12, 2012 at 6 pm in the band room. Next years officers will be elected at that time. Please consider running for an office! -Discount card sales were $4905 ! We still have a few cards not returned. -$400 was received in donations at the band concert to use towards new uniform bags for the band! 75 bags will be purchased, so about 1/2 the amount was raised. -The Spring concert is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, May 8th and the Band Banquet for Thursday, May 10th (but Mr. Ragland will have to confirm location availability). -SENIORS: Please start bringing copies of photos to Anna Scates (for senior boards) -Concert Band Festival is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, April 12th (Middle School) and Friday, April 13th (High School). This will be held at WKU, probably during school hours. -The next Band Booster meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April 12th (after Spring Break) at 6pm in the band room. This is a very important meeting (lots going on). Elections of next year’s officers will be held, so be ready with your nominations.
